The Mexican Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association was constituted in October 2012 as a non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote awareness of the liver, pancreas and biliary (HPB) and integrate an organization of physicians, surgeons and specialists interested to improve care for patients with BPH conditions through education, networking support, dissemination of specialized care centers, creation and dissemination of treatment guidelines related to social and economic context of Mexico.

It shares the same mission and values ​​of the Americas Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (AHPBA).






1 -. Scientific outreach for specialty physicians and patients about HPB diseases.


2 -. Promoting scientific and clinical exchange between specialized care centers in Mexico.


3 - Lay the groundwork for establishing a formal HPB surgery surgical subspecialty that requires advanced training and multidisciplinary work.


4 - Foster relationships and friendships with surgeons and specialists in Mexico and the rest of the Americas.


5.- To be the official representative in Mexico of the AHPBA International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (IHPBA).


6 -. Promote advanced training among surgeons and subspecialists interested in HPB diseases.


7 - Establish indicators of quality care to patients with  HPB diseases.
